The area around Ulefoss, Lunde and Vrangfoss combines canal history, farmland, forests, swimming places and quiet roads. Telemark Guesthouse is a useful base for short rides and longer cycling holidays. The house sleeps up to 15 guests.
Suggested routes
Baderunden is a demanding 21.1 km circuit on mixed surfaces. The Canal Route runs about 115 km from Ulefoss to Dalen and is best divided over two or three days; use the canal boat between Ulefoss and Skien.
Bjønnerunden is a demanding 27.6 km mixed-surface circuit with only about 3 km of asphalt, while Norsjø Panorama is a shorter 8.5 km mixed-surface ride. Gruveåsen is a family-friendly 12 km route. Landskaper’n is 23.9 km, Langen 19 km, Solsida 17.6 km one way, Fruktruta 23 km, Sommarlandet 46.9 km and the demanding Tøffingen route 99.2 km. See the current cycling overview for maps and updates.
