Horse riding in Telemark lets you experience forests, mountains and traditional farmland from the saddle. From Telemark Guesthouse, Bø & Lifjell Turridning is the nearest clear option for visitors, while Seljord and Fyresdal work well as longer day trips or part of a wider tour.
In Telemark, “horse rental” usually means an organised trail ride, riding lesson or course with a horse included—not unattended hire. Book in advance and provide each rider’s age, height, weight and experience so the operator can choose a suitable horse and ride.

Riders are matched with a suitable horse or pony and receive instruction in a safe setting from qualified instructors.
