Countryfestivalen Seljord 2027 – accommodation and travel guide

Countryfestivalen in Seljord returns 28 July–1 August 2027 at Dyrskuplassen. If you want to enjoy several festival days but prefer your own kitchen and bedrooms to the campsite, a holiday home near Ulefoss can be a practical base for friends or family travelling together.

Telemark Guesthouse is not the organiser. Check the festival’s official website for the latest programme, ticket sales, opening hours and any changes before committing to travel.

Festival dates and venue

The organiser confirms Wednesday 28 July to Sunday 1 August 2027 at Dyrskuplassen in Seljord. The programme is being released gradually; do not treat a previous year’s artist list, running times or prices as valid for 2027. Review the official transport advice and festival FAQ shortly before departure.

Camping or a holiday home?

The festival offers its own camping for guests who want to stay in the middle of the atmosphere. A separate house suits groups who value a quiet place to sleep, shared meals and space to spread out after concerts. It can also make sense when some members attend one day and others stay for the whole event. Telemark Guesthouse accommodates up to 15 guests, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen; check availability for your actual dates.

Travel between Ulefoss and Seljord

Allow approximately 45–50 minutes by car between Telemark Guesthouse and Dyrskuplassen in normal conditions, plus extra time for festival traffic. Plan a safe return after evening concerts. Do not assume any local festival shuttle reaches Ulefoss; verify transport routes directly with the organiser. If your group wants a longer Telemark break, consider a separate day around the Telemark Canal, Lunde or Bø.

A simple planning checklist

  1. Choose which festival days you want to attend, then confirm the current programme.
  2. Check ticket types, entry rules, opening hours and parking with the organiser.
  3. Compare camping with a house for the size and needs of your group.
  4. Arrange transport for each concert night before you travel.
  5. Check accommodation availability and cancellation terms before booking.
