On the shore of Lake Norsjø at Akkerhaugen, Norsjø Cable Park offers an active day out about 25–30 minutes from Telemark Guesthouse. An electric overhead cable pulls several riders around the lake without a boat, making it possible to try kneeboarding, water-skiing, wakeboarding or wakeskating.
Like a ski lift on water
The cable runs around a fixed course of roughly 550 metres and can pull several riders at once. Beginners can practise completing a lap, while experienced riders can use the jumps and rails along the route.
Equipment and families
Kneeboards, water skis, twin-tip skis, wakeboards and balance boards are normally available to hire, with wetsuits when needed. The main course is best suited to adults and confident swimmers. First Camp also offers a separate children’s cable for children from age six, together with beginner instruction. The holiday park also has a beach, canoe and pedal-boat hire, mini golf and seasonal food service. It can be combined with Norsjø Golfpark or Bø Sommarland on a longer day out.
